Yes. The free plan includes 3 AI quiz generations and 2 quizzes, with no credit card required. For most students studying for exams, this is enough to generate practice quizzes from multiple sets of notes. If you use Quizrow regularly throughout a semester - creating new practice quizzes from each week's lectures - Premium (€4.99/month) gives you 25 AI generations and 10 quizzes.
Yes, that's exactly what Quizrow is built for. Paste your typed notes, lecture notes, a textbook summary, or any text you need to revise. The AI reads the content and generates questions that test your understanding of what's actually in your notes - not generic questions about the subject. This forces you to engage with your own material rather than recognising surface-level answers.
Yes. Every quiz gets a shareable link. Send it to your study group and everyone can take the quiz without creating an account. Turn exam prep into a group activity - one person creates the quiz from shared notes and the whole group practices on it. This is especially useful for group study sessions before an exam or for testing each other on topics you've each covered.
Quizrow generates multiple choice questions (with four options, one marked correct) and open-ended questions. Multiple choice is good for memorising facts, terminology, and definitions. Open-ended questions require you to recall the answer from memory rather than recognising it from options - which is harder and strengthens retention more effectively. A mix of both gives you the best study practice.
Yes. Your uploaded documents and pasted text are only used to generate your quiz questions. They're not stored permanently, not shared with other users, and not used to train AI models. Your study notes stay private. Only the quiz questions generated from your content are saved in your account, and you can delete your quiz at any time.
Each AI generation produces 10 questions by default. You can run multiple generations from the same or different sets of notes and combine the best questions into one quiz. You can also add your own questions manually to cover any gaps the AI missed. On the free plan you have 3 AI generations total, which is enough for a solid study set from one subject. Premium gives you 25 generations per month.
Not directly - Quizrow can't read photos of handwritten notes. To use handwritten notes, type them up first or scan them with a free OCR app like Google Lens or Adobe Scan, which converts your handwriting to text. Once you have the text, paste it directly into Quizrow and generate your practice questions. The few extra minutes of typing is worth the study session you'll get out of it.
