Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Quizrow. By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who we are

Quizrow is operated by a company registered in the Netherlands. For contact details, please reach out via info@nexbase.nl.

2. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Quizrow. They apply to all users of the platform, including quiz creators and quiz participants. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of service

Quizrow is an AI-powered platform that allows users to upload documents (such as PDFs, Word files, and plain text) and automatically generate quiz questions from their content. Users can customise, publish, and share quizzes via a direct link or by embedding them on third-party websites. Quizrow also provides a results dashboard so quiz creators can view and export participant responses.

The AI generation feature relies on OpenAI's API. While we aim for high-quality output, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated questions and strongly recommend reviewing all generated content before publishing.

3. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please use a strong, unique password and do not share your login details with others. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at info@nexbase.nl.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You are responsible for the documents you upload, the quizzes you create, and any other content you make available through Quizrow. You must have all rights and permissions necessary to use that content and to allow Quizrow to process, store, publish, and display it as part of the service.

You may not use Quizrow to upload, generate, publish, or distribute content that:

• is illegal or facilitates illegal activity;
• sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children;
• contains credible threats, incites violence, or promotes terrorism;
• promotes hatred or unlawfully discriminates against, harasses, or defames another person or group;
• reveals private, confidential, or sensitive personal information without a lawful basis or the necessary permission;
• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or any other rights of another person or organisation;
• contains fraud, phishing, malware, spam, deceptive links, or impersonation intended to mislead others; or
• interferes with the security, availability, or proper operation of Quizrow.

You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, circumvent the security of, or otherwise access the platform in ways not permitted by these terms. You may not systematically abuse the AI generation feature or use it in violation of applicable law.

Public library guidelines

Quizzes submitted to the public library must also meet the following requirements:

• the title, description, category, questions, and answers must accurately represent the quiz;
• the quiz must be understandable, reasonably accurate, and suitable for discovery by a general audience;
• the quiz must not contain advertising, affiliate promotions, promotional spam, or content intended primarily to manipulate search rankings;
• the quiz must not be a duplicate or a substantially identical copy of other submissions;
• the quiz must not include personal or confidential information about pupils, employees, participants, or other individuals; and
• you must have the right to publish all content included in the quiz.

Submitting a quiz does not guarantee publication in the public library. We may reject a submission or remove it from the public library where it does not meet these guidelines, is no longer suitable for public discovery, or otherwise violates these terms. Removing a quiz from the public library does not necessarily delete it from your account.

Content moderation and enforcement

We may reject, unpublish, restrict access to, or remove quizzes or other content where we reasonably believe that the content violates these terms or the public library guidelines, is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, creates a safety or security risk, or must be restricted to comply with a legal obligation.

We may take immediate action without prior notice where this is reasonably necessary to prevent harm, address illegal content, protect users or the platform, comply with a legal request, or respond to a serious or repeated violation. In other cases, where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may first give you an opportunity to correct the violation.

Our response will depend on the nature, severity, and frequency of the violation. Measures may include rejecting or removing a quiz from the public library, unpublishing or restricting access to content, removing content, temporarily suspending an account, or terminating an account.

Where required by applicable law, we will inform the affected user of the main reason for our decision and any available options to request a review, unless providing that information is prohibited by law or would create a safety or security risk.

5. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all content you upload and all quizzes you create on Quizrow. By using the platform, you grant Quizrow a limited licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

The Quizrow platform, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Quizrow and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our explicit written permission.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Quizrow offers paid subscription plans (Premium and Pro) in addition to a free tier. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise Quizrow to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly or annual basis at the price shown at checkout.

• Automatic renewal - subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
• Cancellation - you may cancel at any time via your billing dashboard. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
• Price changes - we may change subscription prices. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Refunds - we offer a full refund within 14 days of your first subscription payment if you are not satisfied. After that period, refunds are at our discretion. To request a refund, contact info@nexbase.nl.
• Taxes - prices are shown excluding applicable VAT or sales tax, which is added at checkout based on your location.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Quizrow does not store your payment details.

7. Limitation of liability

Quizrow is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Quizrow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the use of Quizrow shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under mandatory local law.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also submit a complaint via the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

9. Changes to terms

We may revise these terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email or via a prominent notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of Quizrow after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
